I know, I know…FAWKES just released and it seems a little soon to be revealing the title of my next book. BUT IS IT EVER TOO SOON TO START A COUNTDOWN? (Answer: never.)
July 2018, marks the 100 year anniversary of the end of the Romanov line of royalty. So it seems appropriate that I announce on this day that my next book is going to be a historical fantasy retelling of Anastasia!
I’ve been working on this book for well over a year now–brainstorming it and researching it and trying to get all the different plot points right. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Russia several different times and my most recent trip took me to St. Petersburg where I got an entire notebook filled with research! I also got to visit the magical ballroom in the Catherine Palace!
You may recall that time that I ENTERED THE MAGICAL ANASTASIA ROOM. *dies at the memory*
It’s been a long time coming and I’m so excited to finally tell you the title, the release date, and what it’s about! So without further ado, the title is….

I mean, did you expect something different? After FAWKES, you knew this title would be another name. 😉 ROMANOV is coming to you MAY 2019 and it’s even up for pre-order on Amazon already! (WHAAAAAA? *fist-bumps my publisher*) You can also add it on Goodreads!

I’M DYING OVER HERE! This blurb gets me so excited about getting this book into your hands. But, of course, I need to finish editing it. *ahem* I know it sounds nothing like the movie. And that’s because, well, it’s nothing like the movie. This is based off of the true history of events, and then I smack it in the face with magic. I think you’re really going to like it.

Oh my goodness…!!! This looks like the best book ever written. I’m rather interested (read: obsessed) in Anastasia (the true story, though I do like the Broadway musical). And so this…just looks awesome. I cannot wait til this is released. Until.then I need to get my hands on Fawkes.
How did I miss this? Well, that’s actually an easy answer. Realm Makers. I pretty much ignored Gmail updates the entire weekend. I was painfully slow at answering my own husband. Fortunately, I read it in time that the elderly cat we’re cat-sitting for got food and clean litter (whew!)
Anyway, I could not be more excited! I might have been just a bit obsessed with Anastasia/Romanov family conspiracy theories in middle school. Super-fascinating! I cannot wait to read Romanov! Take my money now!

Anastasia and her family are my ultimate favourite Royal family! I have read numerous books and did research on them since I was a kid!
