A Time to Rise: Pre-Order & Swag!

That moment your publisher sends you an e-mail saying, “A Time to Rise is up for pre-order! Go tell people.” That is a happy moment, my friends. A very happy moment.

So here I am, grabbing a megaphone and shouting from the mountaintop (or from my writing room . . . same difference.) “GUESS WHAT, WORLD?! A Time to Rise is up for pre-order!”

Yes yes, but where? Well . . . I’m glad you asked:

If you pre-order A Time to Rise, YOU GET GOODIES!

What is a pre-order without pre-order swag?! I think about swag pretty much all year and grow giddy over what I get to give my readers. This year is especially exciting because now that my publishing house is owned by Gilead Publishing they have a special bookmark wizard who may or may not have designed bookmarks especially for you. (Aka: only pre-order peeps get these beauties.) So if you pre-order, you get a pre-order bookmark swag pack (say that 5 times fast) from yours truly! (Tweet this!)

Also, just revealed, you’ll receive one of these little magnetic bookmark characters designed by Happy Hello on Etsy!

Once you pre-order A Time to Rise, all you have to do is  fill out the form below to claim your swag pack. They will be mailed out in October around the release date.

As of Oct 04, this opportunity has closed. Thank you to all who pre-ordered!

For bloggers and reviewers interested in requesting an Advanced Reader Copy of A Time to Rise, please contact Nichole Parks via general@gileadpublishing.com

Benefits of pre-ordering a book:

  1. You get a book. ? Need I say more?
  2. Discounts, baby! If you pre-order your book and the Amazon price drops (which I’m expecting it to do), then you still get the discounted price! Woot!
  3. It’s like pre-ordering Christmas morning. Because, let’s face it. When that book shows up . . . it basically is Christmas morning. You get to open a present. And it’s a book.
  4. You have plenty of time to make space for this new book on your bookshelf.
  5. NO ONE (except me) CAN SPOIL THE ENDING. Because you’ll be the first one reading it!
  6. It allows you to schedule an entire day of reading–take off a day of work, put off school, prep yourself by rereading the first two books–in anticipation for its arrival.

Oh, and just in case you haven’t yet read the first two books, you can get them here:

If you couldn’t tell. . .I’m kind of excited about the fact my book is up for pre-order. This is the first time it’s been up for pre-order so EARLY! So. . .happy Christmas in July, my friends.

Your turn!

Do you usually pre-order books? Or do you wait until their releases?

What’s the last book you pre-ordered?

If you’ve pre-ordered A Time to Rise and signed up for swag, feel free to spread the word! For example: I pre-ordered A Time to Rise & now get book swag that’ll help me rule the universe. What did you do today?

  1. I’ve never preordered a book before! And unfortunately I still can’t because I am a poor child. XD But if I get any Amazon cash any time soon… 😉

  2. Woohoo!!! Can’t wait to receive my copy of “A Time to Rise”! Always around my birthday too!
The only time I’ve ever pre-ordered before was your series Nadine!

  3. Yay! Congrats, Nadine!!!

I’m kinda having an inner war between pre-ordering it the end of this month (with an Amazon order) or signing up for the blog tour and reviewing it then. GAH! Decisions!!

  4. I don’t usually pre-order books, but I just might have to with this one—and get the other two so that I can read them before this one releases! Congratulations!

  5. Exciting news! I was waiting for this post for a while. I should be able to pre order in a week or two. YEY If I don’t do an ARC
I have not had good experiences with ARCs…so tempted but hesitant at the same time. But it would be so fun 🙂 I am definitely down for a blog tour though.

  6. I’ve preordered a few books before, but for some reason I always manage to order several (it’s the offer of free shipping and my addiction to books – I know what the reason is) and none of them ever share the same release date, so in order to get the free shipping, I have to group them together and then wait for the final one to release so they can all finally come at once. And I can’t take the waiting! I just can’t! Months go by. Months . . . . But my poor credit card is happy, because I saved $20-$30 in the long run, getting the books at a discount. It’s a vicious cycle.

  7. Oh, yay, how long before you can per order it from other places? And would you rather us order it from Amazon or is another place just as good? I can order it from amazon but list time I preordered a book from them it got lost in transit…. and I got it a month after the release date, after finally buying it from somewhere else, which was far cheaper in the end because postage to Australia ugh! But I am so excited. I think I have also convinced another person to buy the series in hard copies. Everyone needs your books on their shelf!!!

    • Not sure when it’ll be available somewhere else, but I DO know that last year was wonky. There were a lot of issues with the distributor and half the pre-orders showed up a month or two late. *cringe* So maybe this year will be better? Hm…

  8. I only pre-order books that feel I can’t live without. All 3 of the Out of Time books qualified in that category. The last book I pre-ordered was Three Wishes by Lisa Bergren.

  9. Are the goodies for the Kindle version, too, or only for the paperback? Can’t wait! 🙂

  10. I”ll pre-order books from trusted authors that I know I’m going to buy anyway. Besides your books, the last one I pre-ordered was “Divine Dance” by Richard Rohr. Looking forward to see how the “Out of Time” series ends!

  11. Ahhhhhhhh.
    AHHHHHH!
I just pre ordered the book. me and my friend are super excited for this beautiful book

  12. I am so very excited!! I preorder a lot of books. If there’s an author I like I’m always watching for preorder dates. Especially if I can get the book signed by pre-ordering it I’m so in! I LOVED the first one and just order the second and preordered the third. ??Happy day can’t wait to read them!!

  13. I only preorder if I’m very excited about reading it and want it at the earliest possible moment. 🙂 I’ve order the first two as well. It was so nice talking to you at ACFW, and I can’t wait to read your writing! 🙂

  21. Hi Nadine, I pre-ordered A Time to Rise. To be honest, I pre-ordered it for the awesome swag. ? I received the book in the mail without any party swag. What did I do wrong? I clicked on your giant pre-order link and ordered the book. I must have done something incorrect.
    Any ideas?

    • Hi Olivia!
You didn’t do anything wrong! The swag is sent separately from the book. (The book is sent from whichever retailer you order it from–in this case, Amazon–and the swag is sent from me and my publisher.)

The swag was mailed yesterday so keep an eye out! 🙂

I love hearing from you!
