Time to Live

How would you live if you knew the day you’d die?

I left you with this question last post to whet your appetite for A Time to Die. This was a question I asked myself over and over three years ago after the sudden death of a peer. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to take action with my life. I was no longer content wasting time to any extent or living without a vision or goal. First, the thoughts turned into my novel, A Time to Die, but then they changed the way I chose to live. Since then, I’ve found life through the pursuit of taking action. My life is richer, more adventurous, and full because of the proactive steps I take with God. This is something I want to capture with A Time to Die and the subsequent books: a choice to live more actively. Because, really, we don’t know our expiration date.

With that being said, here’s a small blurb about A Time to Die:

Like everyone else on the east side of the Wall, Parvin Blackwater has a clock counting down the days until her death. Though she is still a teenager, she has only one year to live. When the authorities find out she has been sharing a clock with her twin brother, she is cast out through the Wall, from which no one ever returns. It’s not clear whether the countdown of her clock refers to her time of death or her brother’s, so when she is sent through, she knows she could die immediately. What she finds on the other side of the Wall about the world, about God, and about herself, changes Parvin forever, and might just save her people. If she can get the word to them before her time runs out.
Do you have any thoughts about living an active life? Where do you feel your life falls on that spectrum?

  3. When is the release date for your book Nadine, or has it already been published? I only ask because I couldn’t find it on Amazon, but that’s not a sure indicator. =)

    • We don’t have a set release date yet other than fall of 2014. It will be published through Marcher Lord Press. Whenever we have a release date, I’m sure we’ll get the Amazon pre-order page set up! 🙂

I love hearing from you!
